About Me

Welcome to my little place in this myspace world...My name is Robert and I have lived in Houston pretty much all my life. I'm originally from Southern California, also moved out there to do the music thing until I ran out of money but I was able to live there for about 5 years. I have been a drummer since the age of 15 and pretty much self taught now this could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it but I do Thank God that I was blessed with a good ear, good hand coordination. Actually I love music so much it's part of me, will always be a big part of my life. Funny story...well atleast to me I actually started playing because of Duran Duran. You would always find me air drumming to their music and when I finally figured out that I could actually play the drums it was a bigger inspiration to continue to play. My first concert was Triumph as the head liner, Foghat, Uriah Heep after that Rock Music is what I breathed. I have played in several bands in the Houston area which included Cruella de Vil, Zero N, Joy Erratic/The Trust and most recently Breed Society and have also worked on several different side projects. For the people that know me they will tell you that I'm the biggest King's X fan out there. I have met all of the guys and they have always been very cool. The last band that I played with were the ex-members of Atomic Opera they were signed through Giant Records back in 1994. I met Jonas Velasco in 1999 at a "PEPBOYS" of all places on a Saturday afternoon. I played with Jonas and Jonathan Marshall aka "Gestapo Joe" for 3 years. We played under the name "Greytown" and "Joy Erratic" and The Trust in Houston. We were pretty much a 3 piece band but we did have a one gig with Shane Huggins..Ben Huggins son from one of my favorite bands Galactic Cowboys. I have to say that I learned alot from Jonas and Jonathan about playing, the other side of the music business. I have also added some songs, videos on here where you can take see and take a listen to. Currently I'm practicing, looking for another project to get into because I'm itching to get back to playing live again which I miss the most!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Probably...Mike Portnoy...the guy is a beast on drums, an amazing player live, he seems pretty cool. Next Johnny Rzeznik this guy can write some catchy tunes and Rik Emmett from Triumph an amazing musician and my first concert I ever went to. I would've loved to have met Eric Carr from KISS he was a big influence when I first started playing but for the most part I have been very lucky to have met some of the people that I have admired in the music business from "Wild" Mick Brown, George Lynch, The Great and Late Randy Castillo to dUg, ty,jerry,Maiden,Galactic Cowboys
