About Me

My name is Shannon, "Shibby" to some. I was born in FL and moved to NC when I was 14. I pretty much thought it was the end of my world when we moved, but my parents did the best thing they could have for me. I love my family, they are everything to me. I love my friends, I can count them all on one hand. I'm very active in church, I credit my father for getting me into my church that I now call my church home. My life right now is probably the best it's ever been. I praise God everyday for the blessings he has given me. I pray as much as I can, it really is the best medicine. My Interests

There are very few things that I'm not interested in. When you first meet me I can be a very shy, standoffish person, but after awhile I open up. I'm a very private, independent person. I love to write and read. Oh! and did I mention I absolutely love sports. As you can tell by my layout, I love the Carolina Hurricanes. I have officially been transformed into a Canaic Freak! The Carolina Hurricanes hands down is the best hockey team ever. I don't care that they didn't make the playoffs this year. I think they are some of the most talented and amazing players on and off the ice. The give so much back to the Canaic Nation. It's just awesome. If you ever have a chance to go see a game, take that chance and go and then let me know what you though. Like I said even though they didn't make the playoffs they are still my team. Their season has ended and I can't wait until October to go to opening night and back to Raleigh where I can cheer on my favorite team. Go Canes! I also love football. My favorite team is the Steelers. It will be interesting to see what happens this year with all the changes. My other favorite teams are of course our Carolina Panthers and the Green Bay Packers. I have loved the Steelers and Packers since I was little. I love college football and baseball too. My favorite team is Miami Hurricanes...I know how can I like them they are in FL. Well that's where I grew up and my uncle was a pitcher for Miami. Of course with me living in NC now I have to be a fan of Nascar. I'm not a huge fan, but I have been to one race, because I worked at it and then I got a chance to go to the Bristol race and had the best seats in the house, right in the pits! They are fun, but I'd rather be at a hockey or football game. I love me some hockey and football. Go Canes and Steelers!

Music:

I love all kinds of music. There are very few types of music that I won't listen to. I love finding new bands that no one has heard of. To me that is some of the best stuff out is bands that no one has heard of. Take the time to check out some of my friends that have bands myspace pages and see for yourself. Let me know what ones you liked and what ones you didn't.

Movies:

Pretty much the same as music. I like all kinds of movies and for awhile there the theater was like a second home to me. I absolutely love Tuesdays, that's when new movies and music comes out. I'm usually at a store picking up the ones I like. I have many DVD's and CD's. I thought this was a very interesting take on aethism. Check it out and let me know what you think. Excuse the language.

Television:

I'm all about Tivo. I very rarely sit down and watch a program on time. I have so many TV shows that I'm into it would take forever to make the list. Pretty much anything on any of the standard channels during primetime. Plus, like I mentioned earlier any of the above mentioned sports I will watch on TV.

Books:

The Bible, Lord of the Rings, and anything by Melody Carlson
