Influences: RA. Ancient Egypt’s God of the sun... Worshipped. Revered. Feared. Even cursed, in the last breath of those unfortunate enough to become lost in the endlessly shifting desert sands. Ra is life. Ra is death. His light feeds our crops, feeds our bodies. His warmth has promoted our evolution, and has allowed us to survive. Cook our meals. Rear our young. His anger, however, is legendary. He, quite enraged, nearly destroyed Egypt, requiring the Goddess Queen Isis to castrate her dying lover, Osirus, and cast the severed phallus into the suffering Nile, replenishing the desert before it’s life withered away. Humanity could not exist without his strength, and could be taken on his slightest whim. HE PRECLUDES EVERYTHING….We the priests, honor our Sun God; his majesty, his warmth, his wrath. We work to channel his might via songs and hymns of beauty, suffering, love, hate, comfort, pain, destruction, rebirth. We hope he enjoys our blend of metal, fusion, Americana, Afro-Cuban and Egyptian percussive
