Smitty Robinson, a native from Baltimore, Maryland was born with a spirit that will captivate the film industry, as well as motivate others around him. He illustrates creativity and a great deal of experience in film production, but most importantly he possesses a spirit of passion for film. As a teen, Smitty composed several poetries and eventually entered the Poetry.com Contest where he won 1st place on a poetry piece titled “Goals and Dreams”. From Woodlawn High School, majoring in photography Smitty’s inkling for media and film led him to continue his academic pursuit. While attending Essex Community College, he established a foundation for himself to develop a great deal of experience in film production and in addition to completing his internship with TV 25 in Baltimore, MD , Smitty developed several business relationships with the staff members there and have received a remarkable letter of recommendation from media producer / director Michael Wells in which he stated “Smitty Robinson is indeed a young man of great character and commitment, and it is a pleasure to have him working on our team for the past few month”. Although, faced with many obstacles, Smitty consistently displays commitment towards film and has since launched many opportunities in his professional career outside of his academics, which involves working with the HBO series The Wire , freelancing with Deep Flow Studio’s and continuously building business relationships with production companies such as Robot Films , Adidas, and TV 25 .In addition , he has since received an award from Adidas .com for entering a video contest in promotion for the Newline Cinema film “Semi Pro”. “Film is my Life” Smitty states, and with this passion Smitty continues to develop several of his own independent projects. He has submitted a number of projects on video sharing websites such as YouTube and Current news .com; including Adidas Commercials and has developed a commercial on the most controversial cd Title “Nigger” by Rap artist Nas which received over three thousand views on YouTube.Smitty received over 25,000 views and uploaded over 30 videos, his 1st year as an independent filmmaker on Youtube.com. In addition, Smitty is consistently traveling and exploring different locations around the U.S where he can capture great footage for the development of new projects. He is currently a member of Creative Alliance organization and is striving daily to bring together his own organization YBG Pictures. With new ideas, Smitty Robinson strives to touch on subjects that people can relate to whether comedy, drama, or documentaries his passion, commitment and originality to the film industry will help contribute to a new era of entertainment...
