On April 25, 2007, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati. The doctors told my family and I that the cancer most likely originated in the womb, and that I have a 33% chance of survival. I was immediately operated on because I had tumors in my stomach. I also had a tumor behind my right eye. The tumor was too close to my brain, so the doctors are used 6 rounds of chemotherapy to reduce it instead of operating. I had tumors in my bone marrow, too. I started chemotherapy on May 2nd. Neuroblastoma is very aggressive, so the doctors wanted to hit it hard with 6 intensive rounds of chemotherapy. After that, they will gave me a bone marrow transplant, and they will harvested my own cells for the transplant. Obviously, this was a very long road for myself and for my family, and it still is. Mom (Jody), Dad (Mike), and big sister Sheridan (4 years old) need all the help they can get to help me through my journey. Right now, I am NED - No Evidence of Disease. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME! I know that I can fight and win this battle with cancer with the good Lord's help and all of your prayers.
