C-Bodia

About Me

Combining the element of intellectual street production against a southern, urban backdrop, C-Bodia is vying for space under hip-hops vast music umbrella. But before you confuse C-Bodia as just another run-of-the-mill Dirty South Producer, dont get it twisted. The Pittsburgh, PA native who grew up in The (919) area aspires for a higher goal; the one of the versatile, adaptable emcee who can flex a wide variety of styles of production and flows while spitting insightful lyrics that you can relate to, weather your a hustler or graduate student. He Waxes poetic street tales delivered on time through the beat, C-Bodia can all at once be disarming, informing and forceful. Its that interesting dynamic that makes C-Bodia stand out from the average Joes in the rap game. With C-Bodia, its about beats and business. He wants to get paid, but he also envisions that youll visualize his world through his timeless soulful beats and thumping tracks. Equal parts thug poet and street sponsor, C-Bodia's mission is to ascend the heights of hip-hops elite by delivering his message to the masses in the freshest, tightest music package that he can create and he has done that with his deal with Interscope. Basically he says, "Ive made it but i still have alot to prove and i need to keep proving the industry wrong", C-Bodia says. Im trying to do the best I can with both the rap side and the business side. Chances are you heard his production on one of the various underground mixtapes or albums in the Raleigh, Durham, or Chapel Hill or throughout the Dirty South. With C-Bodia, wherever there's an audience that needs to be converted, he's willing to travel and work. C-Bodia wants to make that clear to all that he's in the hip-hop game for the long haul. His formula for success was crafted long before his mix tape days. C-Bodia's hip-hop vision developed as a teenager who was simply a fan of the music back in the day. "When I started producing seriously, it was about practice makes perfect", he says. "I was trying to make a name for myself in my area by making beats and doing studio sessions wherever I could. I didn't see the big picture back then, but after I started getting attention, I realized I could do this for a living." C-Bodia has always been something of a trailblazer weather it be from his production or from his choice of music in his beats. As the 4th high school graduate in his family, the 18-year old has made a life of breaking ground where most of those around him have dared to tread. It is that independent nature thats led C-Bodia to chart new waters - that of entrepreneur record label CEO. Killa Music Group, C-Bodia's label, and artist on Interscope. Killa Music Group was started three years ago with the help of business partners around the great state of North Carolina. The label is "off the ground and running im looking for artists as we speak and im also looking to get a distribution deal", C-Bodia says. And he's using unconventional yet innovative strategies to make sure Killa Music Group succeeds. "My goal for Killa Music Group is get it like a Roc-A-Fella", says, C-Bodia, "I have big plans for the label where well have a few smaller consolidated labels under our wing, and we plan on moving into other forms of entertainment such as movies as well". Learning the business side of the rap game has been the most important lesson to C-Bodia. Not one to handle his affairs half-heartedly, C-Bodia understands that doing the unglamorous behind-the-scenes grunt work on the business side will ensure his high-profile success as an emcee and producer. The balance between businessman and artists can be difficult, but as C-Bodia says, "I like adversity". With the ability to make fire beats both poetic as well as prophetic, C-Bodia is destined to make his place in hip-hop. So be on the lookout. C-Bodia is coming to a award show near you and producing for a record near you. Contact For Purchasing On Beatz And For Guest Appearances On Mixtapes And Albums.
