Preview: Hello, I'm Marissa, but some people call me other names, like Rissa, Kitty, Freddie, Bathing Beauty, the elf, Smurffet, or Retardo Girl...but you will probably find another nickname for me. My first boss said I was like a chameleon because there is no one name that perfectly fits...like I have these different characteristics or something.

A little bit of me...: I grew up in Huntington Beach. I own two adorable cats. Some people would say I'm weird, some say I'm cool, some wonder which planet I came from. If I could remember that, I'd tell you. I don't have the best memory. It's weird stuff. I can remember things about music, food, and random facts about people, but I can never remember the stuff that will really get me anywhere in life. *Sigh* Anyways, I used to play WoW on a weekly basis, and now I'm going through some minor withdrawals.

Some Interests: I love Music. I prefer food and sleep to most other things. Like....if I'm asleep, my phone is turned off. No one interrupts my sleep except for my cat who likes to sleep on my pillow, right next to my head. (aww....ain't that cute?) And food? I could talk about food for days. Well, maybe not days, but I relish (get it??? RELISH) finding out about new kinds of food. Eating sushi is something I could probably do every day. Or, almost every day. LOVE Kojis' shabu shabu. (Gets expensive though.)
Swing dancing is so much fun. I used to go to Disneyland almost every Saturday night to meet up with a bunch of people who go regularly to swing dance. (I miss Disney)It's crazy how it's like a whole nother world. The drama's the one thing I could do without. Who wants that at the "happiest" place on earth? Maybe when I have more money I'll get a $400 premium pass and go again.
Traveled to the UK and Europe for a month in 2005. I visited London (England), Vienna, Salzburg, Gaming, Melk (Austria), Rome, Pisa, Florence, Padua, Siena, and Venice (Italy). Saw all that and glad to be home, safe. This past Summer (2007), I yet again went to Europe for a wedding...but this time in Prague. Flew to Austria stayed for a week, then took a train to Prague. The wedding was gorgeous. Then stayed in Munich, Germany for an evening. Had a 3 hour conversation with a cute Swiss deaf guy on a train to Switzerland. Spent 2 days there, took another train to Italy. Shopped in Milano, went hiking and kayaking in Chinque Terra, then spent a week in Rome. 3 weeks total and it was very enjoyable. .
I am currently employed.. I work as an accountant in Irvine and a secretary for a brokerage in Costa Mesa.
I always try to keep an eye on the sky because it's so pretty. I love when the clouds are colored by the setting sun. One Monday night...months ago (years ago now), Frank and I were looking at the clouds and there was this HUGE group of clouds that made up a dragon head and right below it was a claw. It was so awesome.
If you want to ever talk to me, you can reach me at [email protected]. I'd love to travel the world someday, learn some languages, read lots of books, own a few houses at the same time, compose at least one great song, be famous....just for a little while, help people, save someone's life...so many things to do....so little time
Rainforests once covered 14% of the earth's land surface; now they cover a mere 6%. In less than 50 years, more than half of the world's tropical rainforests have fallen victim to fire and the chain saw and the rate of destruction is still accelerating. Unbelievably, over 200,000 acres of rainforest are burned every day in the world. That is over 150 acres lost every minute of every day. Experts estimate that at the current rate of destruction, the last remaining rainforests could be consumed in less than 40 years. Experts also estimate that we are losing 130 species of plants, animals and insects every single day as they become extinct from the loss of rainforest land and habitats. You can just look it up online and there are tons of sights that can tell you about it. It's amazing how much we don't know about our earth. We could do so many little things to help it... Which Firefly character are you?
"The Mechanic"

I especially like to visit the San Diego Wild Animal Park or the Aquarium in Monterey up north.Travel once or twice a year.
