About Me

DON MICHAELS started doing black and white photography under the tutelage of Bob Latori, who is responsible for designing the curriculum at the Hallmark School of Photography. During Dons time under Bob Latori he began working in NYC filming and producing national tv commercials. At this time he began working with producers and directors that are considered some of the film and televisions elite. Don credits his time in NYC for his astounding abilities in film production. His jobs included photography, both preproduction and production photography and misc. paperwork. After a few years of working in NYC Don decided to move down to Florida and do music videos, he started doing lighting and production photography for such artist's as Kiprich and Nizmo. Don then decided to break from the norm of music videos and give musicians a different look than the rest so that they would stand out, in doing this he began DP/Directing his own videos. After meeting producer Miles M.I. Aaron a new movement was formed. They formed Coast Connected which immediately began to make itself known in the Southern, and Western region with cutting edge music videos and photo shoots. At current time Don Michaels and Miles M.I. Aaron are working on new music videos, a film and a brand new animated TV show.

My Interests

Photography, Filmography, History, African American History (from a non-white perspective), Quantiun Physics (it's fun trying to understand the principals), cars, motocycles (even though there is a person out there that would die if I got one, again you know who you are), the other thing that I direct movies, I've done 2 short little ones, they are not much of anything but it is a start, however I'm in the process of writing 5 scripts, and I tell you this they are movies that you'd never ting would come from a person my age, just in the subtle fact of what they are about, and trust me they don't be crazy outlandish stuff to be amazing.

I'd like to meet:

Here is the new music video I did with Donny Goines. When I have time I may explain why this video has a lot of emotion invested in it and also why this video has been one of the most rewarding things I have done in film.
