.. Hello My new friends!!
My name is Jack. I know what you’re thinking…um Jack isn’t that a guys name. Nooo it’s short for Jacquelyn, by way of Jackie, to just Jack. So just to clear that up from the start, it’s just Jack.
In the first few weeks of my life I really don’t remember much. I was not taken care of and was thrown away when I was only 6 weeks old. It was really rough, but I have pretty much blocked that out of my memory. I was cold and tired and gosh I was hungry. I had fleas and something or other called mange. I lost most of my hair. Needless to say I was 2 steps away from meeting the Grim Reaper if you know what I mean.
Well, one day I was wandering through this grave yard (I didn’t know it was a grave yard back then, but do now…how spooky) and I saw something to eat on the side of the road. Gross when I think about it, but hey I hadn’t eaten in almost 5 days and was staarrrvin. Anyway…It was pretty scary. The road there is at this crazy turn next to the graveyard with a church across the way and these big trucks were going very fast around the corners.
Then there was this huge green truck that stopped and this human got out. I wasn’t going down that easy so I took off behind one of the gravestones to hide. Peeking around the corner she seemed like she wasn’t going to hurt me so I carefully and cautiously approached her. When I got really close I could just tell that this was my lucky day. She scooped me up very carefully and lovingly. The fact that I was mostly hairless and pretty nasty, not to mention I stank pretty badly from infection didn’t seem to bother her much. It was at that moment that I just knew that I was saved from certain death!!
She took me to this huge place and there was another human there. He didn’t look to happy at first. He must have had a bad day or something. After a little while everything started to be fun. I met tons of new friends. They looked a little different. Later I found out and learned that they were cats. Balu, Batida, Kahlua, Sambuca, Honey and one that is always outside and doesn’t come inside is Reeses.
So to make a long story short, that was the beginning of my new life. I do have to say that I am the queen of the castle (even if the others don’t agree) and am spoiled rotten. Damn proud of that part!!
Some of my favorite things to do are play Frisbee. There’s no Frisbee throw that I can’t outrun and I can jump about six feet high. I love to go on 5-mile hikes. I even have my own back pack and carry water and stuff. My favorite is taking a ride in the Jeep. Ahhh the wind in my hair….it’s absolutely heaven. Well, that’s me in a nutshell. I hope you like my page.
