The 24-year-old classical guitarist Alberto Mesirca completed his Bachelor and Master of Music at the Castelfranco Veneto Conservatory, ending it with 110, “summa cum laude†and honour mention, in the class of G. Volpato. He made the Konzert-Exam at the Music Academy of Kassel, with W. Lendle, ending also this with honours. He attended several masterclasses with M. Barrueco, A. Diaz, A. Pierri, J. Vieaux. He was nominated “Young Artist of the Year†at the International Guitar Festivals of Aalborg (Denmark), Enschede (Holland), and Encs (Hungary). He is winner of the “Peredur Preis fuer Juenge Kuenstlerâ€, of the Golden Guitar 2007 at the Alessandria Music Convention (member of WFIMC), of the “Young talents†prize and of the “D. Zambon†Prize. Besides the solo concerts throughout Europe, he played also with D. Ashkenazy, V. Mendelssohn, M. Rummel, M. De Santi, M. Schulz (Wiener Philharmoniker), P. Giger. He has been collaborating since 2006 with the Louis Spohr Stiftung, the Workcenter of Jerzy Grotowski and Thomas Richards and the Philosophy Convention of Camaldoli. His concerts were transmitted by RAI, Radio3, Hessisches Rundfunk HR2, ORF, AVRO4, the national Hungarian television. He recorded two solo albums, including pieces dedicated to him and also world first premieres of works taken from the Andrés Segovia Archive (“Errimina†by Padre Donostia). He made revision and fingering for pieces which were edited by RaiTrade, Curci, Bèrben, Musique Fabrique. His recordings of Scarlatti Sonatas (by him transcribed for Curci) were distributed by the italian music magazines “Suonare News†and “Seicordeâ€: the first time in both magazines, being Alberto also the youngest artist of the series ever. Angelo Gilardino wrote to him the Sonata “Cantico di Gubbioâ€. In January 2009, he was appointed assistant at the Guitar Class of the Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto.
