Motorbaiks - The Biography
Motorbaiks is the new band from Transit guitarist René Baiker, who has written and produced the album „ Sold Your Soul“.
René is not unknown in Switzerland and can look back on a long musical history with differerent levels of success. With Transit he was in the charts (best place: 8, Take Your Love, 1988), for example. Lots of tours in Switzerland and surrounding countries, six albums released with three in Japan, for Rene, Transit was a good vehicle for creating his success. Since leaving Transit in 1993, René has been busy with various bands, applying his craft as a live musician, also engineering and producing other artists in his studio „Die Klangfabrik“.
René and Canadian musician Don James Ayer met each other in 2000 when Don and his band Fair Haven recorded and mixed their second album at Die Klangfabrik, and the chemistry between them both was immediate. In Canada, Don is a much sought after singer and songwriter. He has worked for many years as a producer, engineer, and live musician with various bands, and his experience reflects in his strong powerful voice and rhtymical guitar playing.
In this time, Don immediately sang two songs for the Motorbaiks mini Cd „ CAUTION, DON'T BELIEVE“, which led to the two musicians working together on the full length „SOLD YOUR SOUL“.
The new record from Motorbaiks actually began in 2002 when René and Don started playing live together. The songs were co written and then Peter Haas, a fantastic session drummer, was brought in to fill out the groove. René then played and recorded the guitars and bass.
The lineup of MOTORBAIKS is complete since the end of September 2008.
After the breakup with the singer Don J. Ayer, Mäse Hablützel (S.A.G.EM), an American with Swiss roots, is the front man, Markus Eberle hits the drums (Dirty Bastards, Tin Pan Alley), and Bruno Veneri plays the bass.
For Motorbaiks, patience and hard work has paid off. „ SOLD YOUR SOUL“ has definitely lived up to all expectations, delivering a sprited, groovy and varied album. In 2009 Motorbaiks hits the stages again for a live show that defines the fact that real heavy metal is not, and never will be dead.

Mäse Hablützel, Vocals
Mäse was born and raised by his Swiss parents in Baker/Strattonville NV (USA). Since 1992 he lives in Switzerland and he immediately founded his first rock band. He was a member of the Genesis Cover Band „Supper's Ready“ for 12 years, and after a short musical stint in Spain, he founded the successful Heavy Metal band „S.A.G.EM“, which whom he produced three albums and also went on tour in Europe and Japan . But there is more: beside his passion for heavy rock music, Mäse successfully completed a formation in classical vocal training which allowed him to win several national and international contests. Needless to say that with his powerful voice, he brings good vibes to each concert hall.
Since the beginning of September 2008 Mäse is the front man of MOTORBAIKS and with his extensive experience both live and in studio, his presence on stage and his impressive vocal range, he is THE man for the job!
Bruno Veneri, Bass
For the deep and pounding notes, with Bruno Veneri, MOTORBAIKS found a real old stager with a lot of experiences!
He is infected by rock music from the 60s and 70s, songs like Whole Lotta Love, Stairway To Heaven, Black Night, Paranoid etc. inspired him to become a passionate bass player. Bruno played in different bands, before he now improves with MOTORBAIKS, how much power lives in rock music!
Markus Eberle, Drums
At the tender age of 5 Markus started his drummer career. Obviously, he hit anything he could and, at the age of 9, he got his first drums. With his bands „Tin Pan Alley“ and „Dirty Bastards“ he toured in Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland.
Meanwhile Markus is a professional drummer. He teaches drums at his home studio as well as at different schools. He is also a demanded session drummer and he was involved in numerous projects. Markus was the last member to join MOTORBAIKS mid of September 2008 and he demonstrated his skills right at the first concert. The band can rely on his groovy playing and he performs brilliantly even the most technical songs. A high class rock drummer!
