After denouncing Cristal, the luxe drink of choice of rap artists for many years, Jay-Z was left with a tough decision as to which champagne could replace it as a sign of opulence in rap/music culture. It appears that the artist has decided to (unofficially) endorse Armand De Brignac now, featuring it in one of his new songs as "gold bottles with the ace of spades." It seems like a good choice based on the bottle alone. Armand De Brignac has been produced by a family owned vineyard for over two hundred years and has only just started to be imported from France. It is said to have notes of flowers, citrus, dried fruits and brioche.

Many smokers affirm that a Cohiba can be identified by its aroma alone. This is very probably true, as Cohiba cigars receive the best of the best. All wrappers used for Habanos come from the Corojo variety of tobacco plant, but Cohiba is given the finest wrappers. And the finest tobacco plantation of all is the "El Corojo" plantation, in Pinar del Rio. It produces a smooth wrapper with a fine texture, tending to the lighter colors at the center of the grading table. As regards the filler, the best leaves from the best sun-grown tobacco fields of Pinar del Rio, San Luis and San Juan in Vuelta abajo are selected exclusively for rolling Cohiba. Furthermore, the leaves destined for these cigars always undergo the "third fermentation", a very special process involving a light fermentation along with ageing. This is the highest form of treatment tobacco can receive so as to ensure it reaches its pinnacle of quality. Evidence of this are the highest marks given Cohiba cigars in tasting sessions.

And Hollywood-ish they are, frequented by power couples like JT and Cameron and Ashton and Demi, and young Hollywood players like Kirsten Dunst. AM also recently opened his own club in L.A., LAX, but he's focused on keeping the A-list bodies moving from his perch in the booth. "In Hollywood, there's so many egos and different personalities," he says. "My rule is majority rules."

Mr. Shawn Andrews, number 73 of the Philadelphia Eagles, All-Pro and Pro Bowler, can be ranked as one of the number one VIPs in Philly. He can be seen drinking bottles of liquor and champagne at Red Sky or eating steak dinners at Capital Grille. Without doubt, Shawn knows what he is doing.
