Jesus Christ. I spend as much time as I can trying to get closer to Him. I play my drum for Him, I play my BEST for Him! That brings me to my drum, 'er rather drums. I am more than just a little interested in African drumming. Specifically the Djembe'. I am fascinated by it's almost magical lore. I do not take the Djembe' lightly. I stay very loyal to it's tradition values as I am also intrigued by the history of the drum and the traditions of the people who first gave it life. This is why I build my own drums, in traditional style, using materials attained from reliable sources in Mali Africa. And then there's nature, in particular the creatures we have come to call "trees". Mathematics A.K.A.~"The Language Of Nature". Music, Gardening, Playstation, lots and lots of Grand Theft Auto. Pez, can't say enough about Pez! I've got a collection of about two hundred dispensers and growing. I don't really know what the attraction is I just love the stuff. Skateboarding, yeah, I'm 37 and I still skate, what of it? Nature at it's best and worst. Clocks, or any time telling apparatus for that matter. I don't know why, but I can look at a glass watch showcase for hours. I don't even wear a watch, I feel restrained with any kynd or jewelry on....strange? Socializing.....oh yeah, and MySpace, I tend to get lost out there allot too. Another one of my interests is, that's right, promoting the honorable beliefs and moral code of The Grateful Dead. These guys figured it out! It's not the complexity of the notes, it's convincing the listener that you care about them. Am I talking about the notes or the listener, you decide. You gotta' "go there" man! The flame from there stage has spread to the floor and has burned it's mark in the fabric of American culture for generations to come!

Music:
I've recently taken another listen to what's been going on in the Christian Rock scene, and I am proud to say it's come a long way since just a few years ago. Bands like Switchfoot, Mercy Me, Tenth Avenue North, Newsboys, etc... have been doing a great job of reinventing Christian Rock. They've brought it to a level never before reached in that the music has become sharp, well constructed and very aggressive as far as gettin' the Word out. Other than that I'm into just about anything that's got rhythm and direction, and sometimes direction isn't even necessary. Stuff like The Grateful Dead, King Crimson, Yes, Robin Trower, Steve Vai, Little Feet, Keller Williams, Widespread Panic, Phish, all of those annoying jam bands. I have a deep respect for anyone who devotes they're life to the arts.
The video below is for my Dad. There wasn't much he liked about The Dead but this was one of the few songs he actually got into. "Shit Kickin'" music I think he called it. Love ya' Dad, hold me a spot.

Movies:
Every Frankenstein movie ever made, all the Star Trek movies, Swamp Thing, Pi-Faith in Chaos, A Beautiful Mind, Spun, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Requiem for a Dream, Trainspotting, Rush, Blow, Memento, Crash, Scarface, the first Mad Max, The Butterfly Effect, Slingblade, The Transporter 1 and 2, Aeon Flux, Ultra Violet, Hellraiser, The Dynamic Trio, Edward Scisserhands, Flash Gordon, the one with the Queen soundtrack, Willie Wonka, the original, not the cheesy remake. Lemmy' tell ya' a 'lill sumpum' 'bout Frankenstein. I've seen every movie made. It's a horror, sci-fi, action adventure, love story, about the misunderstood with some carefully placed comedy inserts all revolving around the age old story of man's fear of mortality. What's not to like?
Television:
I don't watch a whole lotta' TV so I guess I'd say all of those unbelievable Kung-Fu shows they used to play on Saturday mornings when I was a kid. M*A*S*H, anything on Sci-Fi and I kinda' love Southpark and Drawn Together. I used to watch this animated show on Mtv called "The MAX" it was about this little girl who's mind would shut down due to insecurity issues and she would become "The MAX" a dark superhero who wielded a sledge hammer made from the petrified heart of an air whale! Great stuff! WWE, yeah, that's the redneck in me. But I really think people should kill there TV's. The stuff's just nonproductive. The only source of knowledge is experience. Albert Einstein said that s**t!
Just in case you were sweatin' the end of the world in 2012...the Mayans also charted a calender for 2013. Hmmmm....
Books:
The Secret Life of Plants, Mary Shelly's "Frankenstein", Weaveworld, The Damnation Game, Everville, and any of the numerous short stories by Clive Barker.
Heroes:
James F. Richards, Role Model, Friend, Superhero.

And speaking of Superheroes, it just wouldn't be fair if I left out the the most amazing woman I've ever met. She has reminded me of who I am and where I come from. She has allowed me to rejoin myself and become, once again the man that my Father raised. Although it was my Dad who first showed me the way, it was her who swept the leaves off that very same path at a time when I almost lost my way and gave me the strength to pick myself up and continue the journey. A journey that I know in my heart will eventually lead me straight back into the arms of my Father. For this I am forever in your debt. No matter where you are or what name your going by, you will always be my Shauna, my SuperGirl!

I'm placing my "religion" here because MySpace has not provided me an appropriate choice in the section they have designated for "religion". I am a Christian, not a Christian-Other. For me, there is no other about it. There is only Christ. I find it somewhat disconcerting that MySpace would couple my Faith with the general term "Other". Especially when they already have a choice labeled "Other" all to it's self.
