BRIAN WILSON 1966...
I live on the sunny shores in Florida and own a house right on the beach. I own a music store in a little sleepy beach town called Flagler Beach just 2o minutes or so north of Daytona Beach. I run a DJ/Entertainment company called "Pyramid Disc Jockeys" for weddings, parties, nightclub entertainment and high end business/corporate events.(WEBSITE: pyramiddjs.com).
In addition, I enjoy being a radio DJ/ personality for a radio station called the Blizzard 97.7 FM broadcasting on the air and online 24/7.(WEBSITE: theblizzard.us) On that station I also produce and broadcast a specialty program called "The Beach & Island Show" It's a tropical music tiki bar happy hour party, full of groovy beach musical sounds to put you in the mood for the sand, surf & sea, lying in a hammock or sipping on a cold beverage like a bahama mama, pina colada or strawberry daquiri with an umbrella in it. Catch it on Saturday nights 5 to 7 PM E.S.T. on 97.7 FM or on theblizzard.us website.
Even though I spend some of my days in Florida, southern California is my second home in my heart and soul. Redondo Beach, Malibu, all of L.A./Hollywood & Burbank where my best bud Art lives. It is where I am most days in my mind, soul & spirit. I divide my other time, as much as possible, there.
This is just my personal page for friends and people that I know...
but it is also a site dedicated to the fans of psychedelic, 60's bubblegum, mod, 60's surf & eclectic music. It's just a personal passion of mine.
.......... ..........
It's a far out, mind blowin' trip of beatnik grooviness, peace, love and flower power! It's time to say surf's up bro from the hippie beach bus. Close your eyes all you crawdaddy's , lay in the sand and let your mind be taken away to the 60's bubblegum sounds, the psychedelic era, british mod, and the harmony drenched pop of the latter sixties decade !
YA DIG IT?
.......... .......... The 60's brought the California surf music craze layed down by the genius of Brian Wilson/The Beach Boys. By the time 1966/1967 came about, Brian, due to his "Pet Sounds" and the unreleased "Smile" albums as well as the Beatles' "Rubber Soul & Sgt. Pepper's" albums had defined the pop sound that would soon become the rich harmony laden pop/psychedelic music culture.
