About Me

Originally from Marlboro, MA, I'm a corporate brat/ex-USAF guy that has lived all over the country and truely believes that home is where your heart is. The places I've lived:
Marlboro, MA (near Boston) 12 years
Northville, MI (near Detroit) 3 years
Kanata, Ontario (near Ottawa) 1 year
Newtown, PA (near Philadelphia) 2 years
USAFA, Colorado Springs, CO (first time) 4 years
McGuire AFB, NJ (a 45 minute drive from absolutly everything) 9 months
Columbus AFB, MS (45 minutes from absolutely nothing) 2 years
Moody AFB, Valdosta, GA (12 miles north of Florida) 2 years
Colorado Springs, CO (currently) 4 years
I've been married to Kimberly for the past 7 years, no kids, two dogs. Last year I went in on a 3000 square foot house with my mother-in-law and three young sisters-in-law ages 14, 12, and 11, which is really like having three kids, all girls.
I had the opportunity to fly some of Uncle Sam's pointy nosed jets for a while, but ended up getting medically disqualified 9 months into training while flying T-38's, which is one hell of a fun plane to fly. I was heartbroken, but became a Communications Officer while they processed my MEB (Medical Evaluation Board). It turned out that what I had was a disqualifier for service altogether, so in 2003 I was given a service connected honorable discharge and they waived the remainder of my commitment.
So I walked away, two weeks before the Iraq war started, with one hell of a world-class eduaction and some tax free money for the rest of my life. Kimberly and I moved back to Colorado Springs and I began a string of mediocre jobs that just weren't for me. That is until I joined the Colorado Financial Group in July of 2006.
Over the first 6 months, I earned my Life, Accident, and Health Licence, my Series 7 Securities Licence, and my Series 66 Investment Advisor licence. The tests were tough, but the Academy prepared me well and I passed all on the first try with flying colors.
As Operations Manager, I am in an ideal situation. I'm working for Mr. Dave Briggs, who has been a top guy in the insurance industry for the past 33 years and support him by doing case design, underwriting support, client service, and office operations. While I am credentialed to be a producer, I function on an inside basis almost exclusively and manage the proprietary carrier relationships that we have with AXA Equitable, John Hancock, Pacific Life, Prudential, Lincoln, Sun Life, and Nationwide through our relationship with M Financial Group as an M Member Firm.
