About Me

Larry has been playing bass guitar for most of his life. He comes from a musical family. The Gospel group The Family Jubilees, consist of his uncles and his father. His father played piano and sing, which is to belive where he and his brothers got there talent. Larry has an odd way of playing the bass guitar, you see he's left handed and plays a right handed bass, " I just started out that way, my brother and my uncle stated that if it's comfortable and you're okay with it then do it" and did it he did, Larry and his bass guitar has gone all over the U. S. of A and across the globe, he has played in countless venues, he has shared the stage with noteables, such as Albertine Walker, The Williams Brother, Vicki Winnens, The Pilgram Jubilees, Kirk Franklin & Family, B.B. King, KoKo Taylor, Bobby Rush, just to name a few. In the early 90s he and his brother Ernest join there favorite group The Family Jubilees. " That was a wonderful time for me and my brother we did a lot with our uncles and had a great time with it, we learned that many people want to be a leader but only a few are chosen, if you are able to be a good follower then your chances of leading could be great, but in the mean time just be thankful that you're part of the team. After losing my brother Ernest to cancer in 2006, I understood just how short life is, my mother would say " love one another, treat everbody right, be happy, and most important Put God first in everthing you do, Trust in the Lord and he will direct your path. I'm just happy to be part of the team. Larry is now playing with Big James & The Chicago Playboys, and The Mike Wheeler Band, while recording with different artist in Chicago.
