Laura Warwick is the great-niece of rock legends Ray and Dave Davies from the Kinks. Throughout her childhood, Laura loved to sing and perform, but it wasn’t until she was around 14 that she realised she wanted to be ‘a star’. Immediately she began writing songs and developing her vocal abilities and style, emulating her idols to begin with; Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, and her favourite, Annie Lennox.Against the advice of everyone around her, instead of preparing for university Laura made the choice to leave her highly academic grammar school before completing her high school education. She began working on a demo, and created her MySpace page. Within a year, her fan base had grown simply by word of mouth from nothing to over 8000. People were captivated by her stunning five octave vocal range and soulful lyrics, and exposure to her music spread like wildfire.Now Laura is poised to take her music to the next level. She is ambitious and driven, yet has an easy-going, down to earth nature that her fans can relate to.
