Runaway
The band came together through a mutual contact. A friend new each of the members and thought they could work well together. It started out quite simple, just meeting together in a basement and jamming. However, they could each see the others talent. In an effort to bring out the best of the others, they decided they could work together. All members have a musical background. Rick's mother was a music teacher. Nathan is Rick's son, and thus began learning guitar from his father. Mikey and Payton are both professional dancers and have loved all forms of music. Mikey plays the bass for the band, but can play keyboards, banjo, and who knows what else. Payton adds to the percussion of the band with his Conga's and Bongo's. With the exception of Nathan, all members were in previous bands.Because of the varying ages in the band, it allows them to come up with so many different sounds. Although they do play a lot of covers for weddings and corporate events, they enjoy writing and performing their own music. However, bars and night clubs are not their scenes. "The money to survive is not found in such venues", say the band members. "That's why we play weddings and corporate events. Maybe someday we'll get the chance to play our own music".The band has performed for Coca-Cola, Wells Fargo, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, wine festivals, and many others. Their crowds have numbered into the thousands. Their energy and ability to work with the crowd has made them a favorite for such events. The band not only works well together but they enjoy the audience response. Their energy comes from the response of the crowd. "We're doing this, not only because we like it, but we like to see people have a great time. The more they like it, the more we like it!", says the band.DEMAND that we come to your town!

If you want to be our friend, GREAT!!! Just don't come at us with your problems about "the system" or some potty mouth. If your education doesn't allow you to carry on intelligent conversation, or if you just want to talk bad about things, sorry. We don't have time for that. Yeah, we want to see things change, and we know they will. But that is not why we are here. We are here to enjoy music and share it with others. If you like music and want to do the same, then climb aboard. We'll be glad to have you.

With the oldest member of the group, the influences start with Southern Rock from Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers, early Molly Hatchet.Guitar influences are SRV, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson. While the band does not play hip hop, the beats used in hip hop motivate people to dance. This is a part of the bands rythym.
Sounds Like: Nathan has the vocal sounds of Kurt Cobain. Payton's vocals are along CCR and Rod Stewart. The musical styles range from Jack Johnson meeting Joe Satriani while jamming to Nirvana.
