Medicine Hat

About Me

Medicine Hat was formed in the early 90's by Terry Collins, Buddy Jones, Wes Hanna, and Tim Bramlett. By 1995 the group was hitting on all cylinders, touring the southeast-Ga. N.C. Ala. Tenn. S.C. as a full-time group, gathering fans and friends along the way. They recorded two cd's during this time, MEDICINE HAT and COMFORTABLE which were both well recieved and brought critical acclaim as well as national and international recognition from several premier music publications as well as radio airplay locally and nationally. The Hat was very close to a record deal several times but did not sign on the dotted line; the band decided to go the independent route. Medicine Hat has shared the stage with Jefferson Starship, Col. Bruce Hampton & the Aquariam Rescue Unit, Cheap Trick, The David Nelson Band, Drivin' and Cryin' , The Guess Who, The Blue Dogs, and Cravin Melon to name a few.In 2000 members of Medicine Hat went their seperate ways for a few years, pursuing individual careers in music. The band did a couple reunion shows at LTs in Santee, S.C. Buddy and Terry reformed after several years of playing with other musicians and formed an acoustic duo that performed mostly in SC and Ga.Due to fan response the band decided to play more often as their busy schedules would allow. At the time being, about 4-5 times a month, which possibly could be more in time. We're playing with a revolving cast of bass players lead by the incredible David Stephens, { you gotta hear the man play} good friend who has been in The Commodores, Ohio Players, Diana Ross touring bands, Chris Nisoff, Greg Myers, and Clark Mitchell. We have also written some new songs that haven't been played live yet, but hopefully will be finished in time to have a new cd out by early 2008. So that's where we are right now , we appreciate all the support of our fans and friends and look forward to bringing together a strong 2008.Love and Light, Medicine Hat
