We have heard it through the plant community that plants are being genetically modified. Our plant community is being destroyed and we are worried that we are next. We have bragging rights in the plant kingdom as we are the most versatile plant of all. We will lose these rights and you will lose our versatility and safeness to consume if you allow us to be mutated and patented. Harmful effects that may affect human health as well as environmental damage are indicated by increasing scientific evidence.
Therefore genetic engineering has to be confined to contained laboratories until science knows what it is doing.

Many common foods are, including: Corn, Soy, Wheat, Canola, Tomato , Potato , Rice , Cantaloupe , Sugar beet - (all kinds of sugar) , Radicchio , Flax (linseed) , Papaya , Squash , Oilseed rape, Alfalfa.
All of these, and products made of them, including common infant feeds, may contain unexpected harmful substances.
