Little Mikeys From the Wheel

En agosto del 2004 Dani, Juanfer y Vis, pensaron en crear un grupo de punk rock, rápido y desenfadado, llamado Pasta. Empezamos a ensayar a saco y pronto la gran creatividad de Daniel Ducré a la guitarra (y como vocalista en aquella época)y la conexión musical que nos unía nos permitió componer varios temas rápidamente. Juan Hito de Coup d’etat se uno al grupo por un corto espacio de tiempo dejándonos un temazo, “St John’s Night Core”. Los nuevos temas tomaban un cariz más serio, mas trabajados, a la par que individualmente crecíamos musicalmente ya no era sólo punk rock pueril (la idea que teníamos al principio), empezaron a notarse más otras influencias como el hardcore, el post rock… El 28 de agosto de 2005 EN LA CATEDRAL DE ALBACETE, el ROCK AT THE CHAPEL, significó nuestro desvirgamiento musical, como trío (Vis a la bateria, Juanfer al bajo y Newdan en la guitarra y la voz) y rebautizados como GREEK NIGGAS, entre colegas y junto a Against the Tide y Lost Calling. Un mes después en la feria de Albacete compartiríamos el stand del Ateneo Anarquista con INTOXIKAOS. Cada vez nos tomábamos más en serio las canciones y el grupo en sí, y decidimos meter al Tinglaos, cuyas cualidades como cantante demostró con su colaboración en el Rock at the Chapel, asi como al ganjamaru (Lost calling).El buen hacer del nuevo vocalista, así como los arreglos que el Ganja se curró hicieron que todos los temas ganaran enteros. Esta nueva vuelta de tuerca en las composiciones y el cambio en la formación nos hizo plantearnos cambiar de nombre al que hoy en día mantenemos, los gloriosos LITTLE MIKEYS FROM THE WHEEL, los miguelitos de “la Roda”. Desde entonces hemos estado tocando regularmente, en Quart d e Poblet, Valencia y Albacete junto a grupos como Sindikato Fumeta, Fin de Sed, Punk Tomaka, Cagando Sin Papel and Boom Boom Kid (ARG), Kondenados, Coup d’etat (con los que compartimos miembros), The Big Naturals, No Sex Allowed (ya podemos morir trankilos =D) y en festivales como en el Ateneo Anarkista, con Anti Playax, Relevo…. La Velada de la Elegancia I y II con Orquesta Palermo, La Despedida del HIFI Fest (xD) con grupos como Helio, Los Esbirros, Pinball Wizards, Corruption!, Mala Persona (con estos dos últimos también compartimos miembros), el Migraña fest I y II (Albacete - Donosti) junto a Chocolatte, 5000 RPM, Cordura, The Seventhate, Corea y Ofensiva. Buenos recuerdos amigos! Actualmente se disponen a afrontar el verano con ansias compositivas y grabar una maqueta en condiciones de una puta vez, joder! Quien sabe qué nuevas aventuras les esperan a nuestros amigos…¿?------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------In August 2004, Dani, Juanfer and Vis thought about creating a fast and fresh punk rock band, Pasta. We started practising nonstop and soon the creativity of Daniel Ducré (guitar and voice) and the musical connection that bound us lead us to compose the first songs. Juan Hito (Coup d’etat) joined the band for a while, leaving us a great song, “St. John’s Night Core”. The new songs came out more seriously and after more work, as we were growing up as musicians, it was not just about fast punk rock anymore, other influences like hardcore and post rock appeared. The 28 of August 2005 meant our desvirgation show as a trio (vis at drums, Juanfer at the Bass and Dani at the guitar and voice) in the cathedral of Albacete (ROCK AT THE CHAPEL!) as GREEK NIGGAS and surrounded by friends and with the bands Coup d’etat and Lost Calling. After a month, we played at La Feria de Albacete, in the Ateneo Anarkista with Intoxikaos. The thing got more serious and we asked Tinglaos (who sang a song with us at rock at the chapel) an Ganjamaru (Lost Calling) to join. This made the songs sound even better and the new songs sound different, so we decided to change name to the mighty LITTLE MIKEYS FROM THE WHEEL (a reference to a famous pie from a town called La Roda, Los Miguelitos de La Roda! Since then we’ve been regularly playing, in Quart de Poblet, Valencia and Albacete, with bands such as Sindikato Fumeta, Fin de Sed, Punk Tomaka, Cagando sin Papel and Boom Boom Kid (ARG), Kondenados, Coup d’etat (which we share members with), The Big Naturals, No Sex Allowed (we can die in peace now... =D) and in Festivals like in the Ateneo Anarkista, with Anti Playax, Relevo....La Velada de la Elegancia I and II with Orquesta Palermo, the End of The Hi-Fi with bands as Helio, Los Esbirros, Pinball Wizards, Corruption!, Mala Persona (this last two share members with us too), The Migraña Fest I and II (albacete – Donosti) with Chocolatte, 5000 RPM, Cordura, The Seventhate, Corea and Ofensiva. Great memories friends! At the moment we are loking forward to spending this summer composing new shit and recording a decent demo once for all, fuck! who knows what new adventures await our friends.....?¿
