Okay, in the name of friendly competition with my man, DJ Limelight, I wanted to post my very own testimonials... his sound like a damn infomercial... mine are just, well, dope.
"Did I ever tell you how I like your DJ name. Not only the double meaning, but it reminds me of the faithful metronome that sits on the piano at my mom's house that I used not only doing piano practice, but also during cello practice. So pretty much, if you can remind me of playing the cello, that's GREAT!
Also, you are so mega-talented. Has anyone told you that? Well if they haven't allow me to be the first. Hearing you on the 1s and 2s is like... FANTASTIC! You definitely rock what you do, and do it well!"

To the one who spins the vinyl that makes my soul shout OH GOD YES!:
You...on the 1's and 2's...how do I say it. The beats blends like two souls who were ment to be together but couldn't find each other until you came along and introduced them.

Hmmm, where to start. Okay, I'ma journalist, hip hop dj, multiculturalist/diversity advocate, hip hop head/music enthusiast, audiophile when i can be, and i vow to keep vinyl records around til the end of day. I have an artistic hand and a degree in the Fine Arts. I'ma logical, open-minded, honest, and thoughtful person and very easy to get along with unless you do some dumb shit. Don't do dumb shit. I love graffiti and all the individuals still holdin' down the b-boy/b-girl world. I hold an education degree and ride for the babies. I've taught on the notorious South Side of Chicago (Engelwood, what up doe) and in inner city Indianapolis. I always keep in mind the social positions of the poor and working class peoples bustin' they ass day in and day out. I hate ethnocentrism and have been known to knuckle up with racists...and extreme egocentrism bugs me too. I just do me and do what's cathartic for me.
