Dunedin-based Lakonic comes from a classical background, and brings a unique, naturally polished sound to the New Zealand electronica scene.
His passion for creative collaboration has seen him work with the likes of singer-songwriter Sarah Callander (Melbourne), modern jazz musician Chris LoRang, and veteran Drum & Bass producer Woosh (SBK, Vanadis) in their newly formed production duo: Nightshade.
Since winning the SBK DnB production competition in 2007, Lakonic's tracks have been heard during the the ID Dunedin Fashion Show, and his single "Too Late" has been released to high praise and demand for more.
His immaculately finished, yet organically produced sound is set to darken up the work of filmmakers and the venues of New Zealand with further collaborations and new releases.
