Trial By Fire started out in April of 2007 after Brian(Guitar) and Sam (Bass) had a falling out with a local Erie metal band. Deciding they were tired of playing other people's riffs and standing behind lyrics that they had no part in writing, the beginnings of Trial By Fire started to take roots.
Fueled by the drive and longing to make original heavy music for the new generation of metalheads and hardcore kids, in a scene where imitation seems to reign supreme, the search for the other pieces of the band was on.
In a quick decision that required no second thoughts, Brian's brother Jason was called in to shred alongside him in the guitar section. An accomplished guitarist in his own right, and responsible for Brian first picking up a guitar, it was an obvious choice. Unfortunately, before our first show Jason decided the band wasn't for him, and parted ways.
Next, having searched for months prior to the start of the band for the drummer that was capable of playing the speed and technicality that were needed, a call came from a good friend of the band, Tom from Nightmare Campaign. Who suggested a dude from Pierpont, OH named Luke of Hidden Oblivian and When Darkness Falls.
He seemed to be a perfect fit right from the start, lashing out double bass and blast beats at a furious pace to tie everything together.
After joining, Luke knew there was nobody else to handle vocals with the type of range, charisma, and sheer brutality to make it all work together, was Jake, previously of When Darkness Falls. Finally the last piece of the puzzle was sunk in.
After a hundred setbacks and delays, Trial By Fire is finally ready to take on the world, with their first couple shows under their belts.
We all have our own beliefs, we don't preach, and we don't expect you to share ours. We expect you to show up and throw down in some of the most brutal pits you'll ever be a part of! See you guys at the next show!
