About Me

I'm nothing special, in fact I'm a bit of a bore. And if I tell a joke you've probably heard it before. But I have a talent, a wonderful thing, because everybody listens when I start to sing.

I'm so grateful and proud, all I want is to say it out loud.
Yes that's right. I have a special gift for singing. The only problem is I sing in a key which no songs are written in. Let's call it H#. Therefore it sounds bad. So instead I concentrate on playing bass, writing, drinking beer and listening to music.
I also enjoy non-extreme sports like cricket and snooker.
You scored as Phoebe, You're Phoebe. You come across as a bit weird and ditzy but you're fun loving.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Well, bird innit. She must be a bit refined though. I don't want to be lumbered with some old bow-wow who doesn't know the difference between a can of Tizer and a bottle of liebfraumilch.

My Blog

Instant Korma

At work today I got a call from someone in a call centre with an enquiry about blue disabled badges (this is how I fill my days at the moment). The conversation went like this:Him: I've got a lady on ...

TV: From gold, to shit.

I recently watched an episode of Coronation Street after years of succesfully avoiding all soaps, and the experience was a bit like being released from a lengthy prison stretch or waking from a coma....

Cats and Robbers

I got back from work the other day and let myself into the house. So far so mundane. However, on this occasion the house was empty, entrusted to me while my parents buggered off to Paris. Empty...

One in the eye for the fascists

I wrote here a few weeks ago about how I love to cycle illegally down Bognor seafront. I also wrote something similar for the Chichester Observer magazine's 'eco pledge' spot. Basically I pledged to n...

An Ode to Facebook

An Ode to Facebook     It's getting rather serious It's gone beyond a joke. I feel as though I'm missing out On being 'tagged' and 'poked'.     I'm on a sinking network site Too ...

Station to stationery

Currently I'm up to my neck, quite literally, in stationery; after landing a temporary job for the council in Chichester. At least it beats serving tea to the elderly or permanently befuddle...

Train in Vain

As you may or may not know, I'm a big fan of cycling. Not 'proper' cycling mind. You'll never find me poncing about in lycra, three abreast on a country road. But I believe it's one of the best things...

Falling out of love with an album

The pain of falling out of love with an album is quite real. When something that soundtracks your everyday life for so long loses its appeal, where do you turn? There was a time when you couldn't imag...

Oxfam, charidee and cold calling

Recently I was wandering through Waterloo station with Rae and Shona, avoiding beggars and whistling a certain Kinks song. A friendly Welsh chap cornered us outside WHSmith's and asked us to sign a 'p...

Socks and drugs and rock and roll

This is similar to my banking experience, but I needed some new trainers recently and ventured into a 'high street shop'. Having chosen my shoes and reached the till, I was offered socks. Yes socks. "...
