CHIP JORDAN & VOODOO SOUP

About Me

Chip Jordan a twenty-five year old living the life. Chip is an Atlanta, Georgia, native that has been entertaining audiences with his soulful voice and his jaw dropping ability to play guitar for twelve years now. His mother was a local booking agent for big-name musicians, and, as a result Chip was able to associate and jam with many well-known musicians such as Mike Owen from the group Molly Hatchet. At the age of sixteen, his first break came from J.B. Walker and The Cheap Whiskey Band, a group known as "The kings of motorcycle music". This group became a southern U.S. favorite, playing at bike rallies such as Biketoberfest in Daytona Florida. At the age of seventeen, he started his own band, Chip Dangerous and The Blues Connection. With Chip's free-flowing vocal and guitar style, this hard-rocking band played throughout the southern U.S.A. in Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana and Florida. Not wanting to limit himself, after winning a guitar competition in Jacksonville, Alabama at the age of twenty, Chip decided to spread out. He jumped on his Harley and moved to New York. Shortly after his arrival in N.Y., a local band “THE LEFTOVERS” noticed his talents and asked him to add his sound to theirs, showing the broadness and versatility of his playing by mixing old Motown with rock and R&B. Chip Jordan has been performing between USA and Europe for several years now. Performing in many venues in many places including: ”Bliuzo Naktys” 2004 (Varnai, Lithuania), “Torun Blues Meeting” 2005 (Torun, Poland), ”4-th of July Block party” 2006 (Spring Hill, Florida), „In the circle of blues” 2007 (Suwalki, POland), „Olsztyn Blues Meeting“ 2007 (Olsztyn, POland), 2007m. „Baltijos garsas“ (Kernave, Lithuania). As well as getting the opportunity to perform on many stages with several talented bands and musicians. Such as The Road Band, Latvian Blues Band, and now Voodoo Soup. Chip Jordan is, indeed, a one-of-a-kind blues guitar player. His playing adds an intensity to any show not to be found in any other artist. Sultry, like his hot southern roots, but with an energy that is understood the world around, Chip Jordan will make his mark! He has taken strong influences from blues greats such as Freddie King, Jimi Hendrix, Duane Allman, Muddy Waters, and blended them with his own smooth style to create his own unique sound. Versatile, strong, and highly improvisational, the Chip Jordan sound is not one be missed.
