MY HEAD

About Me

Greetings people! If you remember MY HEAD you were in Hollywood/Silverlake in 1993-1997. You frequented Dragonfly, Martini Lounge, Spaceland, Bar DeLuxe, Opium Den, or any of the newer coffee houses that were springing up on Melrose or Blvd back then. Maybe you caught them with Gwen Mars, Sugartooth, Korn, Gren, Snot, Rollins Band. You could have even gone to one of Adam and Tina's dinner parties up on the hill at the big house where Richmond, Autumn, Uncle Tim, Leslie, and Dave lived too..and that girl who thought she had rats in her mattress and would beat it with a tennis racket. Maybe you were an EXCEL fan (Adam and Greg's old band). My Head was signed to Imago Records, then Capitol Records. They made some good corporate rock $$. It was a good time. While Los Angeles and Hollywood pierced fashionably and tattooed profusely and painted everything black, My Head opened the drapes and let the sun shine in, busted out the pastels and vinyl kitchen furniture, the Sergio Mendes records and Schwinn Stingrays, lava-lamps, corduroy bell-bottoms, and the vintage concert shirts. They rocked for a few years and saw the nu-metal taking over and corporate rock demands and pressures killed the fun so My Head burned out officially in December of 1997. After this, guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Adam Siegel played bass in THE EELS for a spell and formed his own L.A. pop band THE BLONDES. Dave Silva moved to S.F. to create and direct independent films. Drummer Greg Saenz moved to the So.Cal desert to smoke weed and play Sabbath-rock but ended up in in THE DWARVES from San Francisco, Ca. after joining the band in 2000, leaving after a year, and re-joining in 2007 under the alias GREGORY PECKER. Any current info or old photos regarding MY HEAD would be greatly appreciated.
