Braindead - New Album out now!

Biography:

Braindead was founded in February 1995 by David and Nicole. After two and a half years performing cover songs along with original compositions, the departure of their drummer and bassist opened the door for Jazzi to join the band as their new drummer. He encouraged David and Nicole and they developed to a Midtempo-Death-Metal-Band very quickly. They were able to play many gigs, occasionally as opening-act of the US cult band Testament in the Club Z7/Pratteln (outside Basel/CH). As of today, they have four further appearances in the Z7. In the course of time (and with age ....), they expanded their music-horizon and enlarged their taste of music. Through this further development, a style change was outlined. David, the singer, began to sing “normal”. Through this further development their music became more diversified. So they have a variety of groove, thrash, melodious and even “soft” songs.Through the style changed, the words became more important. The songs are partially social-critique, serious and then again humorous and take the True-Metal-mannerism for a ride.With its live quality, Braindead were able to book appearances in Germany, Poland and of course Switzerland.After its first demo-CD “Aglarond” in the year 1997 yet three further releases followed: “Live at Online” (1997), “For the last hour” (1999), “Crossing the Device” (2001) and “The neXt showDown” (2004). Four of these CDs were recorded and produced by Braindead. Additionally, Braindead is featured with two songs on the Sampler “Headache Vol. III” (1998). In February 2006 Tobi Rohrbach joined the group playing bass. Through its characteristic, unmistakable style, it is difficult to define Braindead’s music to any contemporary standards. They play a mixture out of HEAVY- and THRASH-METAL.Braindead has released their fifth album, who’s called “Disturbing the peace” in march 2008. Watch out for it!..
