The Georges Malaika Foundation (GMF) is dedicated to the advancement of African communities by providing educational opportunities to young girls, aged 5 to 18. Founded in 2007 by Noella Coursaris Musunka, GMF is comprised of a diverse team of non-profit and private industry professionals. Our vision is to mobilize necessary resources to overcome the often insurmountable barriers a young woman faces to obtain an education in Democratic Republic of Congo. Through financial aid packages, GMF will empower young women and lay the foundations of success-- breaking the cycle of illiteracy and poverty in the country. GMF is a not for profit and non-partisan organization with no religious affiliation.
OUR GOALS:
1) Sponsor young girls financially so they can attend school
2) Provide them with tuition, essential school supplies and meals
3) Build equipped schools
4) Offer college scholarships to the best performing students
