About Me

I've been writing and playing music for all of my life that I can remember. My first instrument was violin, which I started at age 5. I also play guitar and mandolin. Graduated DePaul University with a Bachelors in Jazz Studies/Guitar Performance in 2007 and have been playing in rock bands in Chicago for years. My current group, The HUE is a progressive rock quartet based in Chicago. Our first studio release "Unscene" came out in November 2007 and features one of my original compositions "Hot Giardiniera." The HUE can be seen at live music venues across the midwest and most frequently in Chicago. We've played at the House of Blues, The Metro, can be seen frequently at Martyrs and The Kinetic Playground. I have also been a member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra for the 2006-2008 seasons playing in the violin section.
Most of the tunes on this page represent one area of my compositions. Recorded mostly at home, I'm playing all the instruments and usually singing all the parts. Writing folk and bluegrass music has always been part of what I'm doing and I try to keep up a steady output of tunes like this.
