Hi my name is Trevor Long and I play the trombone. I just put some tunes from my senior recital from this April online.

Cloud Sailingis an original composition that starts in 4/4 and has a 5/4, 6/4 vamp section at the end. I derived the melody and harmony from sounds I found on the piano and then decided what chords to call them later. featured musicians are: Derek Dreier-drums, Eli Wallace-piano, and John Merritt-bass
Purple Trees is another original composition for trombone and percussion played wonderfully by Kyle Traska. It is a highly improvised piece around a pre-determined structure. I incorporate many extended techniques like multiphonics and overtones and also sounds I had adapted from listening to and playing the Didgeridoo.
Stablemates is by Benny Golson and I am playing in a duo setting with Lee Tomboulian on piano. The only quirk is that we are playing in 5/4.
