About Me

We are 14 singers - professional musicians and/or studying music. Our Band leader is Jesper Holm, who is educated conductor from the Royal Danish Academy of Music. He arranges most of our songs. Our style is inspired by Count Basie’s bigband sound from the 50’s, but at the same time we are not afraid to challenge the harmonically complicated world of Gene Puerling and his Singers Unlimited sound from the 70’s. Each singer in the band has his/her own microphone, which creates room for certain little details and body effects. Our repertoire is a mixture of swinging standards and evergreens, beautiful ballads, and refined jazzy arrangements of wellknown funky songs. For further information view: www.touchejazz.dk.
