Aging hippy! Remember the "Summer of Love" very well - but at the age of 16 did not participate *fully* in all aspects of the ethos!! But was a geat time to be a teenager. Never really enjoyed the "punk" era that followed - or most of the music, and preferred when we moved into the mid-eighties music. Again, though, never embraced the "goth" culture (at 32 I felt I was way too old for all of that back then!).Also very much enjoy medieval/church music - developed that passion as an ex-chorister.Ordinary lifestyle, work full-time as an Administrator/Officer Manager for a small Medical Charity in Northern Ireland ( The Northern Ireland ME Association). Having had ME for many years, I now find the work very rewarding, to be able to help those with ME still coping with their illness. If I have to work (which I do!) couldn't get a better job!Have wonderful friends and family oh and two wonderful men in my life!(one being my son natually!)Some of my favourite things:butterflies; dolphins; horses; hamsters; rabbits; dogs; penguins; garden birds; koala bears; teddy bears; fairies;All shades of blue!magnolia bushes; roses; white lilies; irises; jasmine; butterfly bushes; lavender bushes;strawberries; nectarines; satsumas; pears; green apples; thai green curry; salmon; lemon flavoured water; chocolate; butter mintoes; white wine; bailey's liquer, Malibu; strawberry/mint/apple strudel flavoured ice cream; banana & coconut smoothies;sunshine; warmth; summer; autumn; clouds;my favourite perfumes; lovely caring people; spending time with those I care about; flying (though I do realise it's not good for the environment!); long train journeys; heavy rain when I am indoors!: having the time to keep in touch with friends/ listen to my favourite music/read booksLeast favourite things:cats; wasps; snakes; rats;the colours red; green; brown; black; orange;cheese; milk; yoghurt; beef; eggs; butter; all spirits; coca-cola; liquorice;thunder & lightening; snow; cold; cigarette smoke (especially if I am eating out somewhere)people who are users; people who treat other people as though they were not human beings; bullies of all ages; people who whinge when they have a minor ailment when so many are dealing with life threatening illnesses; inconsiderate people; travelling by bus; dirty facilities in public places; rudeness; blisters; arrogance; TESCO!!!!

In a non-serious, lighthearted capacity: Wayne,Rich,Mark,Steve (collectively The Mission!) yet again; Bryan Ferry; Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey (they are just comic geniuses); Would like to have met Bill Hicks - a very clever and funny man; Prince William (because he is almost too gorgeous!); Johnny Depp (same reason!), Goran Visnjic (AKA Luka ER, same reason!); Ian Rankin (love his books); Tony Blair, so that I could tell him to his face what a total sham he is; Julieanne Regan and Liz Fraser as I think they are fabulous singers;In a serious, reflective capacity: Paula, Stella, Cyn, Anne, June, Howard, Michel, Johnny, Julian, Alan, Petra, Norbert, Karst - they are friends I have made through the internet but not yet met properly; Craig Murray (see "heros"); Nelson Mandela, Terry Waite, Alexander Solzhenitsyn - they all spent years in solitary confinement and are very remarkable people; Malalai Joya, the female Afghan politician who had the "nerve" to speak out against some of her male collegues on female human rights............. any one of the students or other groups who took part in the 1989 protests in Tiananmen Square - they had real courage
