About Me

Tries to enjoy life as much as she can and treasures her friends and family. Loves Hawaii and probably will not leave it unless she absolutely has to but envisions herself spending the rest of her life here. One thing she is proud of is her culture which is a mix of Japanese, Hawaiian and she wants to get to know more about her Portugese and Filipino sides too. She likes to relax and take her "naps" as much as possible which is probably one of the major factors contributing to her severe case of procrastination. She doesn't hate but just greatly dislikes and she doesn't love but just really likes. In other words, she almost always is in the middle in her views...doesn't really like taking sides...which could be a downfall. She has a passion for na pua o Hawaii and hopes to go to grad school to guide them. But also a passion she hopes to learn more about and hopefully indulge in is culture. Maybe she should have went into anthropology. okay...this is stupid...enough about me.

My Interests

a lot of things interest me... people in general, nicholas sparks books, poker, pictures in general, children, reality tv shows (although i have a hard time admitting), music, foreign films, cultures, my family, my friends...everything I guess.

I'd like to meet:

as many people as I possibly can preferably from different areas of the world.

Music:

a whole bunch and I'm not going to list them all because that's crazy... I like almost all genres of music but have a difficult time listening to most rap. I mostly listen for catchy tunes or beats and lyrics that catch my eye/ear.

Movies:

another category of which I have many favorites but not going to list them all because that's insane. Once again I like most genres but not a particular fan of sci-fi. I've been watching a lot of movies since my computer has a DVD player.

Television:

we finally got cable but still haven't watched much tv.

Books:

Nicholas Sparks books have been my thing for a while but I also enjoy Mitch Albom books. A keeper is Don't Sweat the Small Stuff...and it's all small stuff.

Heroes:

I have a particular admiration for people who are/were civil rights advocates, social activists and people who are/were involved in humanitarian efforts.
