Swedish Columbia is a music/art collective started by old friends, Shelby Cinca (Washington, DC) and HÃ¥kan Johansson (Gothenburg, Sweden), who met in the 90s punk scene in Gothenburg, Sweden. Helping grow the underground scene at the time by contributing to putting out records and organizing shows while also screaming into microphones and destroying drumsets. Keeping in contact over the years they found themselves drawn to graphic design and electronic music. With the "Do It Yourself" ethic they learned in the past, Swedish Columbia has become flag that binds together groups of friends and likeminded artists to inspire each other's creations and contribute sound, visual art and new events around the world.
Swedish Columbia Dj's regularly spin at Marquis , first friday of every month in Washington, D.C.
ALL OF OUR RELEASES are available FREE 128k MP3 and CHOOSE YOUR PRICE for 320k MP3, FLAC, OGG.. etc... They are hosted on bandcamp which allow us to offer our releases in this manner. They are available first on bandcamp and later make their way on iTunes and Beatport.
