About Me

About me, well… I go by the alias’ of BT, barge and bryzer. Ever since being a supple, yet fridge like child I’ve had a talent for kicking goals.I Began my career in the Banyule (currently the city of Banyule is in the process of renaming the town Bri-yule in my honour) U10’s I quickly made a name for myself kicking 742 goals in my first season (still a record today). I became a very dangerous weapon down forward and was well feared throughout the Yarra JFL. This solid base gave me a swift launch to stardom.I Debuted at Richmond in 1980 at the age of 18 there was no doubt I was going places. I was consistently playing star full forward at tiger land Michael Roach off the field and throughout my 46 game career kicked 156 goals.Following this I moved to Collingwood in 1985. I quickly became a fan favourite. Bagging 100 goals as well as the Coleman medal in 1986 despite being crippled with re-occurring injuries, this was a definite display of my un-paralleled courage.I retired from my VFL/AFL career in 1990 at the age of only 28 after accomplishing everything I needed to on the field and revolutionising the methodology of how to play being a fat full forward.Post football I moved on to a many coaching roles in the VFA as well as the AFL with clubs such as Prahran and the western bulldogs at different points in time. Also I have shone behind the microphone with expert commentary on both triple M and the nine networks. A definite highlight was my coining of the term "Thanks to Hahn Premium Light, Triple M ROOOOOOOCKS football!". Of course I felt bad for advertising a light beer because the barge is definatly a heavies man, yet it is still on of the most well renouned and loved calls on the airwaves. My superb grasp on the english language has also spread to the development of words such as dukes (as a refence for hands) and prune and nut (refuring to a football) becoming farmore used in normal day to day use by the public. This is well justified. Finally I have the most magnificent mustache in the world. Always have and always will…
