A Medicine for Melancholy has had a rough start to life with the line up changing several times within the space of twelve months. Anyone who has been in bands will understand the inevitable conflicts involving musical differences and juggling other personal commitments with work for the band. However, these sometimes difficult experiences have been a necessary part of ‘growing up’ musically. Playing with different people has enabled much experimentation and growth.
Late in 2006, AMFM teamed up with producer Steve Alexander from Industry Sound. Steve immediately saw the potential in the project and agreed to take it on. Steve’s input has been invaluable and has allowed what was raw unpolished material to evolve into a far more mature collection of songs. The result of this cooperation is now available for you to judge for yourself in AMFM’s debut full length album titled ‘The truth is what you make it’.
