Assembled in 1996 from an assortment of friends and Flowershop label-mates, Sophia/The Sophia Collective was brought together by Robin Proper-Sheppard in order to record songs that would go on to form debut "Fixed Water". Since then, his continuing travails have seen him work with a myriad of musical cohorts, releasing a string of acclaimed melancholic masterpieces along the way. But though the years have witnessed it's line-up evolve through numerous incarnations, the band's original grace and potency remain intact.
Our aim is to regularly update you about current and forthcoming events involving members both past and present of the ever expanding Collective* as well as those of their esteemed musical associates.
