The studio project
after joining some crappy bands I planned to write my own music and play it all myself. I am in the black metal scene eversince I was a little kid so it was deffinetly dat black metal should be the main infulence...
in 2005 I recorded "over leugens en kruizegingen" in many diffrent studio's...
It was pretty hard to find a studio where I could record anything. and the studio's I found and used suckt ass. after that I begun to see how to record my own shit at home. I am no rich guy not to mansion poor. but I've got a PC e mixing table and some guitars... later I bought a better amp and some mics (also for the instruments), but I had no drumset so I had to use drumcomputers (unfortunatly). expirimenting with this cheap ass studio (I had no mixing programs just a sound recorder from windows) I recorded echopraxie, I gained some expiriance and some good tips, and moved on with what I had, I still use the same program. later I recorded cursed frequencies. but it still sounded very crappy, my song writing skills were still very low...
so I searched inside my self and had some very hard times with hard drugs and my emotions, but I learned how to put all my frustration and energy in the flow of the music... then I recorded the song "seer of the apocalypse" and that was for me a reason to go on with that and so I recorded Terzieler. This record was still no super album but people liked it and marquis begun to get attention and later even a deal with affliction records. I started a live band and that kept me buisy very well, but after some other hard times and extreme LSD trips I really wanted to record some songs so I started with the productions of a new album. I actually hope I can do all the recordings again in a better studio with A nice session drummer... but we will see whatever comes towards me... Marquis is smoothly on it's way to world domination
The live band
So after terzieler I started a live band with my black metal companion Nihil from doodslag, he had also allready had some expirience in the black metal scene and his extreme energy was very welcome in my batallion...
after a long search I found a guitar player who really suits the role. Berith was perfect as a second guitarist, he was sinister and satanic... very young, though he plays what I ask him to play...
I aslo found not that much later a bass player, he was a strange guy, but at least he had a car. He did not speak much or even protest if we went really far with our enoying behaviour. we often fought in his car when we were drunk after a practice, we allways yelled at people and did a lot of that kinda stuff. later he letted us down for a couple of times and then he said he left the band because he didn't have the money and found our behaviour too extreme... but not that much later we had a show for a battle of the bands were we really wanted to win... we payed a lot of money to enter the battle.... so the fucker letted us down... I didn't had a new bass player. So I teached my girlfriend how to play the very basic structure of the songs... she is pretty musical talented, so to learn her how to play bass was not that hard... we played the concert and we came trough the selection... we became second... so that was pretty fucking amazing. on the moment the live band is on hold and later I will resume with new members and new songs.
so stay tuned!!!
