About Me

We are US. A family of two, plus our four-leggeds. It grows and shrinks, as we foster and care for those who lack voices, who've found there's no room elsewhere. We are unapologetically gay and progressive. We are hopelessly domesticated and resourceful. You couldn't ask for better friends than us, but you probably couldn't get at us anyway, because we are simply always on the go. We don't tolerate b.s., stupidity, or drama. I suppose those all pretty much fall beneath the same category anyway. We also do not tolerate being taken advantage of. Fortunately, since the last time anybody did that, we've not had to worry about such. I suppose it takes a special kind of person for that, anyway. We're always looking to make our life together as comfortable and happy as possible, and when we can, we pamper ourselves. We're creatures of habit, and at any given place we frequent we hear "Hi girls!". We enjoy our life, and have little use for those who show bitterness towards that.Evil in the open is but evil from within that has been let out. The main battlefield for good is not the open ground of the public arena but the small clearing of each heart.

Our latest trip

This is how controlling my mother is.

As I'd mentioned in the prior email, my mom was pretty domineering of the trip to Roseburg for Christmas (which, btw, we are going back on business tomorrow and staying a night with my Grandma Lani). ...

...And a happy new year

Wow. Where do I even begin?  It's been a while, and the last news I made public was that Claire and I were working things out, after she left, after I drove her away with my anger and paranoia. We've ...

Old goals

Friday morning we packed up our camping goods and hit the road with the intention of staying in a yurt at Fort Stevens in Warrenton/Astoria/Seaside. We knew it was going to be blustery and rainy; that...

The alley of lost souls

The summer seemed to have come and gone in an instant. I suppose it could be that we enjoyed it this year, so it didn't seem quite as cruel as years before. We went to the rivers, the coast, the beach...

The book is empty from the sparrow's point of view

In the last blog, I'd mentioned grasping at a name. That name, in particular, would have been Michel. I haven't seen or heard from her in four years... all of us who'd known her were wondering how to ...

You're a furry little gnome, and we feed you too much.

Oh, how I anticipate the healing, crisp breeze of an autumn day.  You know, when you smell that earthy richness in the air and begin using the A/C less and less? The AC's capacty struggles in this thir...

Summer weather

I'm almost hesitant to write a blog, because there is so much to catch myself up on. It is about 50 degrees outside right now, and it appears as though it just might rain still, also. Is it really Jul...
