Dear Friends,First of all a big “thanks” to all of you for your positive reactions & comments reg. my CD/DVD “Hits & Clips”, - it seems that it was a quite good idea to put all my videos onto one DVD incl. the latest single “Love me or leave me” as many of you appreciated that there is now a “complete Fabrizio so far”, ……..But now the story continues of course:-)This summer I am co-presenting the top Maltese TV Show PJAZZA together with Angie Laus, Elaine Saliba and Peter Carbonaro, a colourful summer program full of entertainment, competitions, prizes, music & fun, - from July until end of September every Friday after the 8pm news on PBS, - and if you are not in Malta, just watch the live stream at www.di-ve.com and ENJOY !!As well you will see me performing with my Band on many occasions during this summer, just watch out.So enjoy the summer, the sun, the blue water and have fun, fun, fun !! J hope to see you soon somewhere, sometimes.Yours FabrizioBiographyFabrizio was born on the 27th of April 1981. As a young boy, Fabrizio was always involved in music and singing, taking part in festivals for young talents in which he always did very well. His singing talent continued to flourish during the time he performed in various Maltese musicals. He is also a talented sportsman, being very active in football, and the MFA (Malta Football Association). In 1998, he sang the song “More Than Just A Game”, written by Paul Abela and Georgina in the Maltese Song For Europe festival and reached 2nd position in the festival; he also performed it in the festival Bratislava Lyra where he won with the same song. In the same year he was also selected from 15,000 candidates in the auditions of Castro caro, a highly scrupulous process of selection of young talent in Italy, from where prestigious Italian singers like Zucchero, Jovanotti and Eros Ramazzotti emerged. He was nominated for and won the award of Best Male Singer in the Maltese Music Awards of 1998. Subsequently, Fabrizio took part in other festivals, both in Malta and overseas, including Italy, Czech Republic and Kazakstan. He also won the FIDOF award for the most promising young talent. In 1999 Fabrizio won the Maltese International Song Festival with the Song "Sa L-Ahhar" written by Ray Agius and Alfred C. Sant. The following year, he performed in a festival held in Kazakstan where he placed 2nd and won the Radio award. He also participated again with the song “Change Of Heart” (written by Paul Abela and Georgina) in the Maltese Song For Europe festival 2000 in which reached the 2nd place. With the same song he performed in a festival in Prague where he won the FIDOF award for the best interpretation. Fabrizio's singing career includes credits in musical theatre such as Les Miserables, Joseph And His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Fiddler On the Roof. He performs all around Malta in clubs and large concerts and is now a very successful Maltese TV personality. His real breakthrough in Eurovision was in 2001 when he won the Maltese Song For Europe festival with the song “Another Summer Night” (written by Paul Abela and Georgina), meaning that he represented Malta for the first time with this song in the Eurovision Song Contest which took place in Copenhagen, Denmark. Millions of Eurovision fans watched this event and this gained Fabrizio a huge fan- following worldwide after they had seen his fantastic performation. As a result of this performance "ANOTHER SUMMER NIGHT" was played on official rotation lists in a large number of radio-stations all over Europe! Returning to Malta, thousands of fans gave him a warm welcome! Fabrizio was invited to every TV and Radio-station in Malta and the local press were, of course, full of very positive comments and articles about him. On the 25th of May 2001 Fabrizio performed with a lot of local artists at his first big concert in Malta at the Luxor Ground stadium and this coincided with the launch of his debut-album "While I´m Dreamin´". The concert was a huge success; it was subsequently broadcasted on TV on 15th June and the album went straight to the No. 1 Position in the Maltese Album charts and is the most sold album of a Maltese artist ever. In Denmark his album went into the Top 100 Album charts for four weeks and the single was in the Top 20 airplay list for 5 weeks. In Germany the Single was in the top 100 airplay list for seven weeks. Fabrizio performed at a large amount of TV-Stations and was travelling throughout the whole Europe for promotion & live shows in the following years. In 2002 hot on the heels of the Album the Single “SHOW ME NOW” was released with a big-budget video for MTV and VIVA. The track was an immediate hit in Malta and was given the heaviest rotation ever in the history of Maltese radio & TV ! He played some huge festivals, ie. the “Halberg-Festival” in Saarbrücken, Germany in front of 65.000 people, “GOLDEN STAG Festival” in Brasov/Romania and the “MusicMania Festival” on Malta and was invited to big events like the EU Summit in Copenhagen in December 2002. At the CARLSBERG MALTA MUSIC AWARDS 2004, Fabrizio received – for the second time – the Award of BEST MALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR!!! Fabrizio finished work on his 2nd album “WHEN WE DANCED” in late 2003, which was then released in Malta and went immediately to the No. 1 position in the Maltese Top 30 Charts! The first teaser Single off this Album was the pop-dance-latin-song “WHEN WE DANCED” , written by top famous American writers Anthony Little & Rick Kelly (N’Sync, Backstreet Boys). The launch of this album in Malta was combined with the release of the single-hit “I’M IN LOVE (The Whistle Hit)”, a sold out concert at the prestigious MCC in Valletta and a TV-broadcast of his whole show 3 times (!!!). This was the beginning of the real international success - Fabrizio’s Single “I’M IN LOVE (the whistle hit)” and his album were released in more than 30 countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Cyprus, Portugal, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Ukraine, Russia, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Hungary, Israel, South Africa, Indonesia, The Philippines, South-Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Singapore, Japan & - of course - Malta). The song became a huge hit on radio & TV and went into the sales charts of many countries such as Sweden at .. 11 in Finland, Top 50 in Belgium and Germany. Hot on the back of this successful release, Fabrizio was honoured by an invitation for the show “CONGRATULATIONS”, a celebration of the 50th jubilee of the Eurovision Song Contest, where he performed his song “Another Summer Night” in a medley with other Eurovision participants on 22nd October 2005. Now Fabrizio has just released his third album “BELIEVE” , which went No. 1 in the Maltese Album charts as well and the 1st Single release from it “LOVE ON THE RADIO” (with lyrics by Mary Susan Applegate The Power Of Love”) is already listed in the radio charts in some countries. With the song “I Do” Fabrizio won the Malta Song Festival for Europe for the second time and represented his country once again at the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 in Athens / Greece on 20th of May. The result of the night was not so pleasing, but “I DO” went to be one of the most played songs on Radio and TV of this years Eurovision entries and Fabrizio was chosen as 3rd best male performer of this Eurovision (source: escradio.com / awards) The song gains a lot of popularity as being on the official Eurovision CD & DVD compilation which went Top 10 in the charts in many countries. Meanwhile “I DO” and/or the album “BELIEVE” is or will be released in Japan (Avex), Hungary (Record Express), Finland (Edel), Sweden (Stockhouse), Indonesia (RCD), Romania (Roton), Bulgaria (Ka Music), Poland (Magic/Universal), Ukraine (Odyssey), Germany, Austria, Switzerland (Spectre/Universal), Russia & GUS & Baltic States (Megaliner) and of course Malta.and some countries to follow (in negotiation). The upcoming new single from the album is the song “I BELIEVE” from top Swedish writer team Sahlin/Beyerholm (Arash) and is accompanied by a top quality video & major promotion activities.
