The three in Vienna living members of Satory have completely dedicated themselves to Progressive Music. Influenced by bands like Isis, Tool, Russian Circles or Mogwai, their sound used to be characterized by odd time signatures and complex arrangements. That’s how Satory came alive, creating an exciting and dynamic journey from quiet soundscapes to heavy riffs.
Founded in 2005 by Moritz Bauer, Benedikt Soja and Frederic Brünner, it took almost 2 years, until they met Eyup Kus in January 2007, to find a vocalist.
After the line-up was completed, several well visited concerts in Vienna followed, among others at the Planet Music and the B72. In summer 2007, Satory recorded their first EP - "Impressions". In April 2008, the Demo CD "Frühlingserwachen" followed. In June 2008, Satory organized the first "Vienna Progressive Night" at the Shelter.
In December 2008, the members of Satory decided to split up, due to musical differences. Benedikt and Frederic will go their own way and we want to wish them all the best for their upcoming project.
Two Months later, Eyup and Moritz found a new drummer, Stefan Hiti.
At the moment, we are preparing for some upcoming live shows and are still looking for a new guitar player. But we are very excited about what will come and especially what it will sound like. So don't hesitate to book us!
