there, stevie essentially BEGAN his renegade career, one cheap tape recorder, a puppy, numerous loose sexual liasons, occasional cheese sandwiches, pot & acid free-flowing, old friends visiting, gettin' a job at a record shop, buyin' a kharmann ghia from pete spero's brother, and tryin' to grow up FAST!
ONE DAY, from an adjoining room, some new TENANT was blasting a FIRESIGN THEATRE album, and THEY MET!
turns out, this same guy had also been overheard playing & singing a lot of gorgeous original Paul Simon-styled folk-pop in that very same room.
so, there was much to discuss!
a Legendary Friendship was Born!

(2½ weeks before his 48th birthday),
the day before our hero FRANK SINATRA died.
...Complications from Crohn's disease...
Vic had been a sickly-type from the moment we met, but it later seemed to suddenly slip away unexpectedly in the blink of an eye.
And he was gone.
Victor was a magnificent friend, inspiration, co-conspirator, partner, etcetera ad infinitum. We 2 created hours & hours of outlandishly brilliant MUSIC together.
