Hi-ya, to all of the Peeps (New and Old alike) that decided to stop by and check out the site! (I call it "The Site" cause I don't get paid enough to get a real one...LOL) Not only am I a DJ for the station, even though I have never done any shifts on the air..., I'm also the Production Engineer, Imaging Director, and Chief/Remote Engineer. Damn, you would think with all of those titles I'd be making a little scratch, but NOPE! Apparently I am supposed to do it for the love of it! Terry Whitmer, the Station Owner, says that having all that responsibility builds character. I think that he is full of it, but he seems to be pretty convinced of it all.Anyways, I just wanted to take this time to fill your head with Psychobabble BS and make you feel like I just stole 3 minutes of your live that you will never get back! So... let's get on with it.... IROC 102 is an Internet Based Radio Station that plays all the best Rock music that you like and also devotes a lot of time to the Local Rock Scene here in the Dallas, Texas area. But don't get us wrong, we like to promote good Rock and Alternative/Indie bands from outside the Dallas area as well. As a matter of fact, we currently have a couple of Bands/Artists that are from areas that stretch from Louisiana to Ohio, and from Florida to California! So, as you can see, if we think that it's good, we'll get it on the air. If you are a Band/Artist (or know of one), and you think you fit the format, then send a request to [email protected], let's move onto things that are more important! What color underwear are you wearing right now? If you are sitting there and saying to your monitor "I don't wear underwear!" then you are the type of person that we want to see at one of the many remotes that we do! Now your screaming into the screen, "What's that, IROC102.COM goes out in the local scene and mingles with the bands and listeners!" Well to that, I have to say this....Why are you talking aloud to your computer? I think that you need professional help! But, to answer your question, YES WE DO go out into the community and mingle with the Bands and Listeners. As a matter of fact, not only are we the ONLY Internet Radio Station in Dallas that does it, we are also one of the ONLY Internet Based Radio Stations on the net that does!
