About Me

Hello and welcome to Ryan Realey's My-space web page. This page is for the Fans and friends that have and continue to support the love and passion for playing country music that I have. So to all of you, thank you!! Without you it would not be possible for me to do what I love.I was born in Cincinnati Ohio in 1977, started singing before I can even remember. My mother tells me stories about me jumping up on park benches at a very young age and singing to any and all that would listen. At age 11 my dad got a guitar for his birthday, it was a standard Alvarez and he was left handed so he didn't pick it up much. When I could I would sneak it out and teach myself to play. I got caught when I broke my first string, so for Christmas they bought me a Peavey T-60 electric. Even though i had my own I still preferd to play dads Alverez acoustic, I still play it at home and it is the only guitar I can write music with. There is just a special connection I have with it. I started singing in nursing homes for the elderly when I was 14 and even then had a few people thinking Garth Brooks was there. Although I am no Garth Brooks I knew at a very young age this is what I was born to do. I moved to Nashville in 1999 with my family and I have been playing here since. I am currently the lead singer and rhythm guitar player for Along For The Ride. You can find the band info at myspace/alongfortheridecountry.
