I am here for Friends

About Me

Now then, I'm John and i'm ancient! well 25 anyway... And i live in K-town, West Yorkshire. I also spend a lot of time in Heckmondwike at me wench lynz's place.
I enjoy (in no particular order):
Motorcycles, History, The Outdoors, Walking, Nature, Astronomy, Real Ale, Nights out with mates, Staying in with good company and a film, Cooking, Weight Lifting, Woodland, Open Country, Birds (especially birds of prey), Playing Guitar and Bass but I haven't been in a band for over a year. I love music and it plays a huge part in my life. I am very particular about what i can listen to and i don't believe in "background" music. If its worth putting on its worth your full attention.
I love trail bikes, the instant i can afford one i'll get one. Fancy an XT600E or maybe an old Tenere. That said i'd probably have any decent sized trailie from a DR350 upwards! I'm not remotely into sports bikes or cruisers. Still got a reasonable passion for 70's jap iron and a weak spot for Jawa and CZ motorcycles - The new 650 Dakar is a work of art! Not that we'll get to see it in this country. As well as my motorcycles i am also into vans... Sadly i've had to sell my van though in favour of a more family friendly car.
My other money pit is my house, Took me 4 years to move into it and now i'm hardly every there! Figures!
Well thats me, Feel free to send me a message or add me if you share any of my interests and fancy discussing them. I don't generally add BANDS unless i know them or i have had a listen and liked what i heard. If i don't add your band don't cry, It's just i thought you were shite or just not my thing.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Steeleye Span, Metallers, Ale Drinkers, Astronomers, Guitarists, Bassists, Traditionalists (I'll elaborate later), Proud Yorkshire/English, Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, Sir Francis Drake, Sir Walter Raleigh, Horatio Nelson, Hill Walkers, Motorcyclists, Classic Rockers, Bad Religion fans, Steeleye Span fans, Ray Mears, SG-1, Burt Munro, Charley Boorman, Ted Simon.....Count Arthur Strong haha. Anyone who has a BMW F650GS, a Transalp or (unlikely..) A Jawa 650 Dakar! Please add me! Anyone who is of a decent sort, friendly and plenty to talk about!
