Don’t be fooled by their astonishing good looks. MANiC aggression is not a boy band. Oh, no! MANiC aggression is a loud, somewhat hairy, hard rock band from Upstate South Carolina. The band has been compared to bands like Black Sabbath, Audioslave, and even System of a Down, but not one could truly pinpoint the MANiC aggression sound. You could be hit by boogie woogie, funk, metal, or punk at any moment.
Since 2005, MANiC aggression has been rocking and scaring audiences across the Southeast and spreading their music worldwide via the web. After an initial two song release on MySpace, the band put forth the E.P. “Sampler Platter†to the world. The CD was meant to offer a “sample†of a variety of songs, and it also let people get a clearer picture of the group through their lyrics. Music is a natural reflection of the lives of the artists, and MANiC aggression is no exception. They are a band of Christians making rock music for rock fans and no one else. No matter what the faith of the listener, MANiC aggression is offering their life experiences through heavy rock and roll.
In January of 2008, bassist Jason Crapps decided to join the Marines. With Jason's blessing, the band has moved forward. At the present time, the band is seeking a new bass player. If you or somebody you know would be interested in playing bass for MANiC aggression, please contact us on MySpace or send an e-mail to [email protected] . All applicants will be filling out a bass player application form prepared by the band. From these applicants, the band will choose a few to audition live.
MANiC aggression has opened for national recording artists like Jackyl, Disciple, Silvertide, and Day of Fire. They have also performed at such established venues as Ground Zero (SC), the Handlebar (SC), the Vinyl (GA), the High Note Lounge (AL), and the Upper SC State Fair. The band will continue to be out there giving audiences fun unpredictable shows, and they will also be releasing a new CD sometime in 2008.
