Mo'Vana is the exhilarating joining of two musical greats combining forces to become a unique, uber-talented Brazilian-funk-jazz teaming, with a palpable, raw energy guaranteed to blow you away.
Morris Pleasure, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer, known affectionately as "Mo†Pleasure, began playing acoustic piano at the age of four and by his early teens, Mo mastered several instruments including bass, trumpet, guitar, drums and violin. Mo has has been a band member, and Musical Director for Earth, Wind & Fire, and has performed with Ray Charles, George Duke, Najee, Natalie Cole, Dianne Reeves, Jonathan Butler, Rachelle Ferrell, Michael McDonald, Oleta Adams, Roberta Flack, Marcus Miller, and Frankie Beverly and Maze to name a few. Mo Pleasure is the current owner, producer & Vice President of Watersign Records.
Award winning pianist and composer Werner “Vana†Gierig has toured the world as a leader, as well as shared the stage with such diverse artists as Regina Carter, Rachelle Ferrell, Lena Horne, Ute Lemper, Carmen Lundy, Miroslav Vitous, Special EFX, Will Downing and many others. HBO’s Sex and the City solicited Vana in 2003 to compose and record a special piece for the season finale. His countless live TV performances include a 2002 PBS appearance on An Evening with the Boston Pops. BET's Jazz Central, Treffpunkt Kultur on ORF 2 in Austria, CBS' 60 Minutes II, CNN and PBS and A&E live appearances, NBC's Today Show, FOX and Telemundo Live from the Blue Note in New York, Nancy Wilson's show and numerous international TV appearances incl. Japan, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Curaçao, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Holland, England, etc.
