Originating from the cold wastelands of northern Sweden, far above the arctic circle, Nidverk creates coarse, cold black metal with influences from several other genres. They draw their inspiration from the mysteries nature holds, aswell as the darker areas of the human mind.
Nidverk began their work in 2002, continously writing material and playing local gigs until 2004 when they recorded their first demo, 'Nattens hälsning', in Gothenburg. A number of renowned magazines and webzines, including Close-up (8/10) and Metal-heart webzine (8/10), gave the band very positive reviews.After their first demo, the members of Nidverk moved to different locations in Sweden. However, the band stayed strong and kept rehearsaling, writing material and wreaking havoc whenever there was time. During 2008 the recording of 'With Malicious Intent' commenced, with drumtracks added in Gällivare, vocals and instruments in Gothenburg. The result is a 5 track M-CD, which contains all the elements that is Nidverk; the marrowchilling screams of a myriad lost souls, teethshattering blastbeats and enthralling black/deathmetal riffs.
