Hey and thanks for visiting my page! My name is Shim (short for Shimrit), I’m a singer-songwriter currently based in Liverpool, originally from Tel Aviv, Israel. Music has always been my main interest and my greatest passion. I’ve started playing guitar at the age of 12 but it was years before that when I knew something magical happened every time I put the headphones on… Naturally I’ve started singing as well, I used to spend hours in my room, just practicing and playing my favourite songs. Over the years I’ve also developed writing habits and had several bands. I’ve also participated in different project sometimes as a singer, sometimes as a writer. A year ago I was accepted to LIPA (Sir Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institution for Performing Arts) to do the BA degree in music and it turned out to be an extraordinary experience, both musically and culturally and more than anything helped making an old dream come true…creating and promoting my music in the UK.
My music is mainly a mix of Rock, Folk, Blues and Country and mostly about my different experiences with people and places I’ve been to.
